PATINACK FARM’S DEBUT DRAFT SET FOR MAGIC MILLIONS
A three-quarter brother to the highly promising Dancescape is one of the headline acts in a quality packed draft of 46 lots for Patinack Farm at the upcoming Magic Millions National Sale on the Gold Coast.
Dancescape is the latest star galloper from the grand producing Canny Lad mare Balcanny. A stakes winner in her own right, Balcanny has proven her quality as a producer through her group winning progeny Blur and Shrewd Rhythm. Now in the ownership of Patinack Farm, Balcanny continues to produce great types and the latest - a weanling colt by Fastnet Rock is catalogued for the National Weanling Sale.
Patinack Farm General Manager Rick Connolly said the National Sale, the Southern Hemisphere’s biggest and most important breeding stock sale, would be the first where the operation would be operating as a major seller. “We have a quality draft of 21 weanlings and 25 mares set for the Gold Coast, as well as having a major racing operation, we will be breeding and selling a number of horses as part of the overall business.”
The colt from Balcanny is one of an exceptional line up of weanlings heading to the sale under the Patinack Farm banner. Also in the draft is a Snitzel half brother to South African Group 1 winner Strategic News and a Hussonet half brother to stakeswinning siblings Omnitrader and Stockade. This stellar draft of weanlings will be available for viewing from Wednesday 27th May.
The Patinack Farm draft for the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale includes mares by the likes of Flying Spur, Encosta de Lago, Danehill Dancer, Snippets, Rory’s Jester, Star Way and Canny Lad highlighted by Clairwood Thekwini S. runner-up Jet Past (USA) and the dam of the exciting young stakes filly Silent But Deadly.
The entire draft heads to the Gold Coast after being served by either Casino Prince, Husson (ARG) or Wonderful World with all progeny being eligible for the Patinack Farm $1 Million Breeders' Bonus.
The draft will be available for viewing from Wednesday 3rd June.
