December Twenty-Eleven

Mele Kalikimaka

Welcome to our final issue of In the Klick for 2011. We can't quite believe it's time to make (and break) resolutions again.

From the bottom of our heart, a big sloppy thank you for all of your support you have given the team at Klick. We wish you every success and happiness for 2012.

2011 has seen us launch a couple of apps including Vogue VIP  and Clustr (for SciFi Channel), host Tweet-ups, shop Vogue's Online Shopping Night, launch exciting new brands and getaway to Hawaii…sorry lost the train of thought at the mention of Hawaii.

Some of us will be taking time out to rest and re-energise over the Christmas/New Year break and others will be working remotely. We will be out of the office from Monday 26th December, returning Wednesday 4th January 2012. Should you need anything during this time, please call Angela on 0422 172 267 or Kim on 0419 259 841.

Wishing you and yours a truly Merry Klickmas.

There are great prizes to be won including $1000 cash and a years supply of thongs.

A Gift that Gives Back

Klick are excited to be working with world-renowned jewellery brand Georg Jensen who have just released their limited edition HEART bracelet for Red Cross. The new Red Cross HEART bracelet will retail for $150 and Georg Jensen will donate $50 for every bracelet sold to Australian Red Cross.

That gives you all the more reason to treat yourself or a loved one before Christmas without feeling guilty!

Have you met Emily Ross?

Emily Ross has media trained squillionaires, rock stars, and highflying CEOs for Klick. The media training work she does is all about giving people the confidence, prep skills and message development strategies to deal with all media and public relations situations. “I also work on that nitty gritty stuff – those first impressions, dress, language and body language,” she says.

Emily works closely with Klick and their clients, “harvesting” great, authentic messages in our media training sessions to use in media interviews. The goal is always to build on the trainees strengths, iron out the weak spots (the umms, fidgeting and lack of preparation) and allow them to perform at their best. Says Emily: “I promise, it won’t hurt a bit.”

To find out more about working with Emily please contact Kim McKay.

Social Media News

With some very big changes happening right now to the world's leading Social Media platforms, Klick has compiled a quick update to demonstrate how you can optimise your Social Media presence leading up to 2012.

Launch of Google+ Brand Pages
If your target market has a presence on Google+ then this is your opportunity to engage with them on a less news saturated platform. Google+ is working well for tech brands and those wanting to engage users of influence. Tip: It's going to be great for SEO

YouTube Redesign
YouTube's recent redesign is aimed at personalising the user's experience. The new look resembles a 'news feed' of sorts, allowing users to easily personalise the updates distributed by subscribed channels. Noticeably, the homepage is a lot cleaner and easier to navigate. Tip: As the world's second largest search engine are you tagging your videos correctly?

Twitter Brand Pages
Twitter has jumped on the Brand Page bandwagon also launching a redesign. It provides brands with the ability to customise their profile with a large header image and also hero particular tweets which will appear at the top of the profile. Used correctly, it can be a great means of improving brand awareness and engagement. Tip: Time to review and customise your profile page

Facebook Timeline
Facebook Timeline, the redesigned profile, is finally being rolled out to the non-developer-types. Aside from the layout of updates, other changes include the ability to go back in time and add past life events (marriages, births, deaths etc) along with a vibrant cover to set the tone of your Timeline. Check out Facebook's Timeline video demo.
